im new here and just started the 737 program, workin on gettin into the MD11 program in a little bit, i have around 300 hours with United Virtual in the PMDG 747-400 and too many to count in the 767 and 737, i was wondering if aircraft types can be substituted for example, Delta used the 747-100/200 can we use the 747-400 from PMDG in its place? its the same aircraft just alittle heavier and alittle different with fuel and range plus the FMC is nice to have aboard

I believe you can but you might want to ask a member on staff, you can always fly codeshares with airlines that do service the B744 and be able to PIREP it.

Basically any flight is okay in any plane under three conditions:
1. It is in our flight schedule.
2. You are rated to fly the aircraft you would like to substitute.
3. That aircraft has sufficient range to make the flight safely. (No Trans-Pacific in a CRJ. Don't try to be Lindbergh.)
Under those conditions, you'd be perfectly welcome to fly from Cincinnati to Dayton in a 747 (if you were rated for it), as absurd an idea as that is for a 64 mile flight.
I see you tested into the 737 program so you have that basic package of ratings which includes the comparable Airbus planes and a number of smaller ones (see your "Pilot Center" page for the complete list). Though I'm sure you are competent with many other aircraft, I believe you're going to have to work up towards the type-ratings you want through our promotion procedures. You can find the Pilot Promotion Manual in the Document Library which explains this entire process in detail. For someone experieced with these planes, I expect you can make quick work of it. The first thing you probably want to do is to do your first 10 flights in the 737 so you are that much closer to becoming Captain (it's one of the requirements).
If you don't have payware versions, the planes in the fleet library are some of the best free ones available. (I especially like the 737 and 757 packages.) Also in the fleet library look out for the Delta Virtual ACARS program for tracking and reporting your flights. I believe all checkrides require it so you'll want some time to become familiar with it.
Any other questions you have can surely be answered here in the Water Cooler or by contacting your Chief Pilot (or the Assistant CP). There's a link for your CP's email on your Pilot Center Page, or you can check the Staff Page.
Good Luck and Welcome to DVA!
