Hi Chaps!
Is anybody else experiencing hydraulics issues with the fleet 752? When I first start her up in FS, Hydraulic pressure is OK in all three tanks, start the APU, switch on the pumps, and qty/pressure in L and R tanks drops to zero, and I can't get the flaps to operate. Tried allsorts of combinations - center pumps only, elec pumps only, all on, APU on, APU off.... can't figure it out. Had to abort T/O on my last flight and swap to a BA 752 I happen to have in my hanger. I seem to remember having issues like this years ago in FS98 - sound and joystick conflict. Any advice or assistance you guys can offer is much appreciated

Try starting in the default 172, switch the engines on, then swap over to the 757. I had the same problem and emailed Lonny Payne (the panel designer) about it, he said it was an FS2004 issue he couldn't do anything about. I don't know if there's another workaround or not.

I haven't studied the manual for that panel well enough to understand all of the pumps and such. FS seems to handle whatever needs to be done automatically. Is this because the engines are running at first when I load the flight (I always power down and start the departure procedure from there) or is it because I use the auto-start shortcut? (Ctl-E) One of these days I'll try again to learn the real way.

Tyrone, that rudder "wiggle" on the ground is because of the yaw damper. Turn the YD off on the ground and it till stop that wiggle.
Andrew, I used to use the fleet 75 all the time and never had any issues with it, excepting of course when you shut the plane down and try to save a scenario as like "cold and dark" or something like that to start later. I've been told that the lonny payne panel can't handle that, so you have to start it normally and start at the gate with the engines running ready to fly and then shut it down from there to start over if thats what you want.

Excellent feedback, gentlemen! I get that wiggle too tyrone. Daniel my 757 starts cold and dark - maybe thats where I'm going wrong...sets alarm bels ringing when I watch the hydraulic reservoirs L and R dwindle to nothing before my eyes...maybe one of the Urks - ground crew in RAF parlance - pulled a bung out! Anyway, I'll try your ideas and get back to you...hope it solves it.

Ha! Well done chaps! She works! I did as you suggested Lewis and started out in the 172, got it all going then flicked over to the 757...no hydraulic problems this time! And Thanks Daniel for the tip about the yaw damper too. I had a good flight today...its a pity about the time difference between here and the US... When all you guys are flying on Vatsim, its too late for me...have to confine myself to weekends, or tootling artound on Vatsim all on me own!. Ah well, see you up there!
