Thank you Charles... They are hard those Capt's exams aren't they? I had to take me 757 Capt's paper three times! You'll get it, I'm sure - my wife thinks we're mad... exams??? "its a game!" - she says...
A GAME?????
just gave her £250 to spend in Marks & Spencer - that should keep her quiet for a while - tee hee

Tell her you're learning to fly a big enough airplane to haul all the shoes she owns
My wife didn't think that was funny, but I did...

Nice one Charles.... how'd the checkride go? Planning on doing mine tonight or tomorrow... what do you reckon? do you think if I asked her, Pippa would sit in the left seat for me?? OK, I'll re-phrase that... Do you think I'll live to tell the tale if I ask Pippa to fly the left seat for me?
Tee hee! Can she go to Florida too?

I DID IT!!!!!!
to quote the email:
"Charles, your Delta Virtual Airlines B737-800 Check Ride has been reviewed. You have demonstrated competent handling of the aircraft, and therefore this Check Ride has been approved. Your transfer to the program is hereby approved.
Check Ride comments have been enclosed below for your review:
You should seek some help with respect to use of flaps. The standard takeoff flap setting for this aircraft is 5. And you should retract your flaps fully when you reach 200 kias. It also looks like you used your flaps to slow yourself down instead of using the speedbrakes, which is the proper mechanism if you do have flaps extended."
my only comment, is oops i forgot about the speed-brakes LOL and well not knowing where the flap indicator, another oopsy... but bear in mind it was basically my first flight on it...
As for pippa, who is "she"???? and yes.. everyone's welcome @ kdab (RW) for a big pissup... i'm sure my flight school boss wouldnt mind an extra pissup @ redtails which btw iirc it's every wednesday nite from 7
