How much foam did they spray on the ground in advance of your impending "arrival"? Scott, get the airplane over to maintenance first thing in the morning and have them check out the struts!
Great job David! Congratulations on passing the PPL checkride - we certainly enjoyed having you in the course!
ps: for those wondering, David actually flies the plane pretty well and I am not sure where he got his reputation of hard landings but he did well on the flight we flew together

"ps: for those wondering, David actually flies the plane pretty well and I am not sure where he got his reputation of hard landings but he did well on the flight we flew together" The blown tires, Compressed struts, Wingtip scrapes and numerous depressions in the runways that he's attacked with landing gear got him his reputation. One heck of a pilot. I think he sometimes gets confused between flying and voyage to the center of the earth

Thanks everyone, but the true credit belongs to those brave soles we call CFI's. Andrew, Scott, Jim and George, my hat off to you guys. Very calm persona and even some odd sense of humor makes for an interesting flight....lol. They have a knack of distracting you, especially George and Scott into not paying attention to the gauges and next thing you know you have dropped 300 feet and are trying to correct that.
I'll definately be there for the commercial portion. Need to get that EMB120 to trim better before I try that.
I had a blast and thought for sure I wouldn't pass, but I did. If you haven't enrolled yet you need to.
Terry, Scott is biting at the bit to get you in there....lol.
As a sidenote, the Academy is going to be looking very shortly for some more CFIs to expand the program. Be on the lookout for that announcement if you are interested.

Wow!
This is amazing. It's no less important then old Benjy flying a kite around and getting struck by lightning.
I guess we can no longer make fun of you.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH....good one by me.
Congrats! Every CFI should expect to be marked as Saint after getting you through.

Yeah I am. A little.
It's like in that movie "The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" when Ricky Bobby's friend/fellow driver came up with the nickname "Magic Man" and Ricky Bobby was jealous that he didn't think of it.

Congrats Keech! I did the course about a month ago and passed the PPL. It's amazing! How many of us have passed the course??... how many pilots do we have in DVA?... I'm sure that as soon as the commercial course starts most pilots will dive to get the PPL.
See ya in the skyes Keech,
