Hi all, I have a question to ask about linking CPUs. I have my semi new P4 3.4 with all the bells and wistles, and a old p4 2.8 with a minimal amount of equipment on it. Is there a away to link them and they work together to run FS9? If not, is there a way to link them for my video editing I do? Such as recording things in FRAPS on that CPU, to not hamper my system?
Thanks.

I don't believe so. In otherwords, you won't be able to 'link' two computers together and make it as if you have one computer with two processors (Im not aware of a way to do this anyways).
As far as FS9 is concerned: There is a program called WideFS. With this program you can have FS9 running on your faster machine, and then have SB3, Activesky, Delta's ACARS and any other FS addons run on the slower computer. This will free your faster computer's CPU/Resources.The idea behind this is to generate higher framerates for FS9.
Here is a link for WideFS so you can readup on it: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html
Hope this was helpful.

Chris, I run multiple PCs with FS9 using WideFS as mentioned above both of my machines are 3.2Mhz machines with my primary with a very high end graphics card and 2 gig of ram. I run ACARS, FSBuild, AS6.5 and RC4 on the lower end machine across a network connect, works awesome. I also run multiple monitors in span mode on the FS machine connected to a bundle of GoFlight and PFS control systems. So yes, you can do a lot of CPU off loading with WideFS and running a lot of your weather and other add ons off the FS9 machine, great performance. If I can help, let me know.

Just one question with connecting FSWide to a network. I have another PC that I would like to use for SB3, AS6, but iam unsure how to connect both to a network. Is there a cable that can be used to connect both computers so one has the internet connection and the other feeds from the active PC?
The only issue with using FSWide is how to connect them both to the network.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

To answer Chris Koth's question: RC4 is Radar Contact version 4. It's a pretty nice add-on, look it up.

Ben, you can buy a router.
I use WideFS and the setup is like this:
Cablemodem/Internet --> Router --> 2 computers
You use normal UTP5 cables to connect the modem/router/PCs... or you can use a wireless router if you have wireless ethernet cards installed in your PCs
Some examples:
