Lost my FS9 play disc 4. Any ideas on what to do. I have an MD-88 Check ride coming up. If you know how to get around the required CD, please tell me detailed instructions on what to do.
Thanls,
Chris

Chris,
Go to AVSIM and search for FS2004NoCD.zip. Download and install it. You will not need disk 4 to run FS9. Make sure you get the right one though. There is one for FS9 with the update applied and on for FS9 without the update.
This will at least get you running. I would suggest contacting MS tech support about the lost CD. You'll need it if you ever have to reload.

It might be cheaper just to buy a new copy of FS9. When my disc 4 cd cracked, MS wanted $30 + shipping to replace it. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a new copy for $19.

I just can't wait 'til I have to re-install FSX and it tells me that my software has already been activated and I should go out and buy another copy. Oooh I see that day fast approaching. Activation.. bah, more like "you're guilty until proven innocent". I blame software pirates for the dismal state of consumer software these days. If any of you are pirating Flight Simulator, then may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your hairy bits, and may your luggage be sucked into a jet engine, and may your house be cursed with termites. That is all.

Really Chris?? I contacted MS last year cause my Disc 4 went bad (scratched). They sent me the entire FS2004 set, for free!! Didn't even need to pay for shipping. I must of gotten lucky and the 'right' person answered the phone.
