To change color and or brightness in 2D use Panel cfg.
My settings as example in the DH88:
[Color]
Day=255,255,255 //white
Night=255,117,89 //was 225,117,89
Luminous=255,255,255 //was 200,200,101
RGB in that order.
Night and Luminous have no effect on the DH88 but does on the jets just in case you like a blue panel..
To increase VC panel brightness change or add lights to the Aircraft Cfg file.
My settings as example in the DH88:
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 3, 0.84, -8.47, -1.16, fx_navredc,
light.1 = 3, 0.84, 8.47, -1.16, fx_navgrec,
light.2 = 3, -20.95, 0.00, 1.16, fx_navwhi,
light.3 = 4, -6.00, -1.00, 2.20,fx_vclight, //was -5.0, 0.00, 2.20, fx_vclight,
light.4 = 4, -5.00, 0.00, 2.20,fx_vclight, //was -5.0, 0.00, 2.20, fx_vclight,
light.5 = 4, -8.50, -1.00, 2.20,fx_vclight, //was -8.0 0.00, 2.20, fx_vclight,
light.6 = 4, -8.00, 0.00, 2.20,fx_vclight, //was -8.0 0.00, 2.20, fx_vclight,
I added two lights and changed position. If you want white, change to fx_vclighth.
h means high I believe.
// is there for reference purposes. Not read into program.
First number -6.00 is feet aft the quarter chord reference point. Second is referenced to the water line (center line) third is height above centerline.
If you want to know where the lights are located in the cockpit, substitute fx_navwhi for fx_vclight and select the exterior pan view.
