Well I finally got a new computer. Specs are: AMD athlon 64 X2 4000+, 1GB ram, GeForce 7900GT, 250gb hard drive. Well my problem as you can see is its not displaying fs9 correctly. When I run it full screen it kinda runs it good unless a window goes over it. I like running FS windowed so it doesnt display anything correctly. I switch views and I still see the 2d panel but i hear the engines from the outside now. I have to keep switching back and forth between FS for the frame to change. I have directx9 installed got most recent drivers installed and i got vista as you can tell installed. New computer came with vista

hmm I really have never seen that. Maybe a graphics card setting or even and fs setting perhaps. I know that when I turned my anti aliasing from x4 to x8 I was having some display problems so I changed it back to 4. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thats ok this morning i opened my computer up and saw my PSU maximum output is 300Ws the card recommends 450W 400W minimum so the card isnt getting enough power from what I can tell, so im going to go buy a new PSU and hopefully that fixes my problem......I cant even run BF2 full screen on medium settings lol. If the PSU dosent solve it then im at a lost.

Just a short bit of info for you. The problem is from your Nvidia Drivers for you graphics card. I had the same problem. I had the option though of re-installing XP. you unfortunately don't. I have contacted Nvidia about this this. New drivers available mid February.

Check out Guru3d.com some of the Vista Drivers are there for ATI and Nvidia, That definitely looks like a rendering problem.

Yea I got it fixed temporaraly, until i get the money for the PSU. Its definatly a power problem, I stoped Windows Aero which is a video card hungry UI and i got the ghosting to stop. The reason for it happening is because my PSU isnt supplying enough power to my card. Check out the wattage and amp ratage at 12Vs and see if its good for your card. You need enough watts and enough amps on the 12V rail for the card to run good. I know my card needs about 19 amps on the 12v and 400min watts thats y im buying a 550 watt 12v@20amp PSU.

Ive also tried all the video drivers in the world when I had the problem on my 6600 and none fixed it. For me Its not a driver problem its a power problem.

Yea I was gonna just got ahead and by a cheap 600w PSU but now im going to save up and get a good one. Cant go cheap on one of the most important part in your computer I can suggest to make sure that its a power problem for you is to try and disable some things that would require more power, like for me with windows vista, it was to disable windows aero because it uses a glass interface which makes the video card run extra hard to render that stuff(thats y FSX cuts it off when it runs). What card are you running and whats the PSU ratings?

7600GS 512 megs, running a 400 watt PSU, knock off brand. Is 2 years old. I will try unplugging my DVDR and second HD to give it some more power and see if that corrects the issue.

thats a nice one but it doesnt have good amp ratings http://www.directron.com/550200.html thats the one im buying it has 2 12v rails that put out 20 amps each so i can dedicate a 12v rail to my video card only and one the other for everything else...it supports SLI for our nvidia cards and its from a well known company. Ive also read reviews on it and there good. I read around and heard its not good to buy cheap PSUs even if they do put out enough watts. Sometimes they can destroy your hardware or even worse your whole computer. The one I posted has surge protection and everything. I was gonna buy a 30 dollar PSU but i thought it would be better in the long run to get something with more quality soo im getting the one i just posted lol.

Q, I bought an Antec Earthwatt 500 watt PSU over the weekend. Still having those ghosting issues. Found out it is not the PSU but a driver issue. On Squawkbox forum, there are a number of people having these issues. Until nvidia comes out with a driver fix, you will have to change your AA and AF settings in the nvidia control panel to Application Controlled. That fixed the freeze issue. Anyone that fly online with SB, and has a GEForce card after 7#### you will have this issue.

That didnt fix my issue...mines was on application control when I first installed it. I know many people that fly with a Geforce 7 series card and they dont have these issues. Im still gonna buy my PSU this week and see if it fixes my issue...hopefully it does...but Ive tried every driver on the market when I still had XP and nothin worked. I also think that some people problems are driver issues but mines doesnt seem like a driver issue hopefully.

Just a little update....got the PSU and the video card is unstopable now...I also sold my 6600 to my friend who has a better PSU than my old comupter had and the card is doing 10x better than it did when it was in my computer so yea it was a PSU problem for both cards.
