Hi Guys,
Remember back when you downloaded the fleet L1011 and it said it contained both the Series -100 and -500?.. but when you installed everything, all you got was the -500? Well... I just discovered why (why the -100 doesn't show up as an available acft in FS9).
Go to the Aircraft folder in FS9 and open the L1011_100 subfolder. In that folder is a file called aircraft.cfg; open it up with Notepad. The first couple of lines look like this:
[fltsim.0]
title=Lockheed L-1011-100 (Delta OC)
sim=L1011
edit the third line to look like this:
sim=L1011_100
then exit Notepad and save your change to aircraft.cfg. Go into FS9, and look under Lockheed now and you will see your 'new' L1011-100 waiting on ya. It looks a little dirty, so perhaps some day we can talk Joe into cleaning her up some. For those of you that are old pros at this sort of thing, we just corrected the messed up link to the *.air file... which you need to have in order for FS to see the aircraft.
Enjoy,
Gary F.
