Congrats are in order for Captain Michael Brown (DVA3196) who passed his PPL checkride this evening. Capt Brown performed stalls, turns, t/o and landings, VOR and NDB tracking and ended with a short field landing on RWY 4 at KMLB...Look forward to seeing him join the commercial course students soon...

Thanks! For those whom haven't yet signed up for the PPL course or have been thinking of signing up for the PPL course, here are some of my thoughts about it:
First, there is an enormous amount of wealth of information, experience, and knowledge amongst the CFI's instructing this course (I had the pleasure of flying with three of them). If you have a question, they'll have the answer. Second, the documentation is thorough and correct. I have several of my own real world PPL course books from when I went through real world ground school and the charts, diagrams, explanations are all right on. Lastly, its fun! I'd suggest everyone from your amateur 'still landing on the threshold' pilot to the professional 'Land a 747 at VHHH....during a typhoon, no problem' pilot sign up. I gaurente you'll learn something. As for me now, I'm off to the Commercial Course.
