I always do it. That's why I often get stuck in one place, such as the west coast, for a few days. I base my self out of KATL, and take frequent trips back "home" to KMGM. I seen to end up making a trip out west on a monthly basis.

Yep . . . Same here, like to make the rounds . . . mostly western airports, but if I fly in, I usually find a return flight or a flight out to a new destination and repeat the routine.

I try to always fly back out of my last destination, but lately all of my flights have been over at the academy. I will have to get the 757 out of the hanger if I can remember where I left it last and blow the dust off it.

Yep its KJFK to KATL and back always, sometimes when I have time KJFK - KATL - KMCO - KJFK its that much more fun. Just wish the airports would be staffed more and more often.

I do the same as Derek mostly, Except I base myself out of Denver and take the CRJ or suthin over to SLC to get out my 727 or 757. Doing Really long round trips is fun.
P.S. here is a challenge to (some of) you guys who know real airline pilots. Go to them and see if they will give you their schedule for say a week that you have off and will have plenty of time. during that week fly exactly by that schedule. Although most of the time it's painstaking to fly by a certain RW schedule but at times (esspescially the first) it seemed actually kinda fun and interesting to me with the layovers and everything. go try it out

Yeah, that's what I do unless all of a sudden I get a major urge (pretty rare) to fly out of a different airport, then I'll "jumpseat". I try to plan ahead as to where I'd like to go, so I jumpseat as little as possible.

LOL, I do the same thing James. I'f i'm in a certain airpot and REALLY want to fly a particular route, in the comment section, I would mention that I jump seat on Delta or some other airline to the new airport or even say "I was flown posative space". Just kinda adds to the realism I guess.

When I plan flights I try to plan a "circle" route. I like to include KIAH (Houston Bush Intercontinental) and KSLC (Salt Lake City) when I can. For some odd reason I just don't like flying into Atlanta as much as some of the other airports. Dunno why, just not my favorite.
