Ok. Whenever I'm flying, ATC never lines me up with the runway. It brings me to an area at an angle from the runway, and then I have to make a wild guess when to turn to line up. Is ATC not supposed to line me up? I think it is, but I could be wrong. Is there a way to fix this?

What type of approach are you flying? Also, is this using the VATSIM ATC services, or the FS9/FSX ATC services?
If the ATC cleared you for an ILS approach, then they will line you up with a 30 degree offset to the runway. Tune your radio to the ILS frequency, and set the course on the HSI. When 1 dot of offset is indicated, then start turning to final. The flight encyclopedia (in the Delta document library) has a good section on reading the approach plate for an ILS approach. Here's a tutorial will have you practicing ILS approaches. http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/ilstutor.htm
If you're flying a visual approach, then ATC will usually line you up to 90 degrees off the runway heading. They will tell you heading and distance to the airport, when you have it in sight, it is your responsibility to then turn to final and line yourself up.

I believe Radar Contact 4 is now compatible with FSX, but I use it with FS9 and find it a nice addition

Thanks. Also, one more really quick thing. On FSX, I can't program my route into the GPS. I can put in procedures, or do anything, except follow what was put in when you created your flight. Also, when I try and creat the flight, and give myself a route, there is no way to put in specific VOR's, and Intersections. I can only estimate, and never get what I want. It also won't let me go past the airport and then back on a flight plan, to follow a STAR. I have to end up going direct. Can someone help?
