We suggest to our clients, that if they are running XP, that 512mb of ram be the very minimum that they use. Like Mike says, you have some fairly old technology there, and there probably isn't much else you can do. I would think that a higher end video card with the maximum available graphics memory might squeeze out a few more FPS's, but there is really no way to tell without trying.
I am running a 2.2 ghz P4 w/1gb of memory and a PCI graphics card w/256mb of memory and have difficulties with most payware packages.
