Quick questions.
1. What do the symbols in the logbook next to the flights mean?
2. what does it mean on ACARS when it says "Sending 1 unacknowledged position records"
Just curious.
Thanks

1. Scroll your mouse over the symbols and it will tell you.
2. I'm not sure, but I think it's just when you lose connection on ACARS.

Disregard the flight posistions.....it means nothing as long as you do not pause too long.

Right click on it, then click on "properties"; it has the description under "alternate text".

I'll have to check at home--I'm not sure Firefox pops up the tooltip showing what the symbols mean, but I know that IE does.
Icon with two people: Scheduled online event or groupflight
Icon with one person: Flight is logged with ACARS
Icon with lightning bolt: Flight was online (VATSIM, IVAO, etc.)
Icon with up arrow: Flight counts toward promotion to Captain in your program

I was wondering what those meant....thanks! I was also wondering what did you have to put in "Flight Number/Leg" when you file a new flight report.... do you put random numbers.... I put the number of the flight I did (if it was my second flight, I put Flight number 2 and Leg 2).... Thanks!

Flight Number should match the Actual Flight Number of the route you are flying. You can see a list of all the flights and thier flight numbers in your Pilot Center. You may also use your DVA Number during Online Events since ATC would have a coronary if they saw 25 DAL1243 pop up at the same time. Leg numbers are used for certain flights that conntinue onto other destinations.
Good Luck and Welcome to DVA SCOTT and RICK!!

Our policy concerning what flight numbers you use is that you can use pretty much what you want. If you want to use your PID, go for it. Probably best to use your PID during group events though...
