I just upgraded my computer to Vista 32 bit. with vista FS9 is not working right. when you are in the cockpit the gauges move like you're flying but the view through the windshield is frozen to whatever the startup location is. Anyone know what is causing this?

Dear Captain Connor,
You MUST install FS & any other addons you have outside of the "Program Files" directory! Uninstall, then reintall, in its own directory within the root directory of your hard drive... I've done so by making an "Aviation" directory and placing all my Flight Sim stuff there... The problem your having steems from a security issue with Vista and the "Program Files" directory, placing Flight Sim outside of that arena basically instructs Vista to ignore the security side of things, and allows it to run without trouble.
I know its a pain in the tail, but in the end FS & add ons will run, and preform pretty darn good!
Give it a try and let us know? I picked up on this little trick by way of the Just Flight website, I'm a major Just Flight products fan, and they had a postings about this problem, you might go in their and take a look. I made the adjustment on my Vista and it ROCKS!

If I think this is what it might be, then I have this problem, when I switch from windowed mode to minimized and then back, all I do is hit the ESC key twice, once to bring FS out of 3d mode then back to 3d mode to refresh

Another thing are you using the aero glass effect? If you are do this, right click the fs9 shortcut, select properties, then compatibility, select run in xp sp2 mode, then check Disable visual themes, Disable desktop composition, and Disable display scaling on high DPI. That did the trick for me.

If you have the vista Aero theme enabled, that's the problem. I'm using the Vista Basic theme when I run FS9.
