I am a Newbie, so I am not sure if I am reporting these 757 bugs in the right place. During my decent to Atlanta I was given SINCA3 with Dublin transition. I was on autopilot with auto throttle on and KIAS set to 250. After receiving radar vectors to CRS 125 @ 5,000 feet to intercept the ILS for Rwy 8L, I set heading to 125, and reduced alt from 10,000 to 5000ft and reduced speed to 190 kias, and tuned Nav 1 to 109.3 and set app crs to 92. Once the needle started to move I selected APP, and the AC responded as I expected by turning toward the ILS.
While still on autopilot, about 9 miles from the runaway, the Glide Slope indicator showed that I was moving below the GS, yet the autopilot made no attempt to correct for this problem. I disengaged the AP and landed manually. Are you aware of any similar occurrences with this AC? BTW, I reflew this approach twice on July 17, one with the DVA B757 and again with the default FSX B737. Fault confirmed with B757 no problems with the B737.
Also, I noticed that on when trying to adjust frequencies on the unswitched channel (in this case Nav 2) any changes to the freq were taking place on the switched or active Nav 1 channel.
Do you know where can I obtain more information about the Flight Management Computer?
Would you recommend a check ride before I start using VATSIM. I am a little concerned that my inexperience might let the side (DVA) down.
