Yes, I experience this too. I find it flashes only when the sky is dark blue in the middle of the day. If you fly at dawn or dusk, it shouldn't happen. I don't know what the cause is, but I found ActiveSky or built in cheapo Jeppessen updates definitely compound the problem. I believe the sky flashes each time a weather station is updated, or you fly into the "zone" of a weather station. I'm using a 7950GT, and I also find it happens about 95% of the time. (I actually think it's a video card problem, but I have yet to prove that). If I figure out how to stop the high altitude night-club light show, I'll let you know.
