Does anyone know a way to get MSFS2004 to run on a Mac. I know its a PC game so this is the longest of shots, but I thought I'd at least ask.

Yes .... there is a program you can install on a mac that will allow you to install windows, thus allowing you to install FS. However, both windows and FS will run slower than normally. Unfortunately the name of this program escapes me...try a Google search.

well, boot camp is free except that you require a full version of windows with installs left and an intel based mac. Then there is no performance hit whatsoever because you're just running a PC with windows at that point. The MBP I'm on right now has FS9 installed on my windows partition and it runs pretty well.
If you don't have an intel Mac, you need a program called Virtual PC. That will cost performance and depending on how slow your mac is, it might not be worth it. I've never used it though.

Wouldn't Parallels work, without having to dual boot that is? http://www.parallels.com/
(not a Mac user, just surrounded by them at work).

One of my favorite subjects!
Here are you options:
1) Bootcamp (as mentioned) - With Bootcamp, you'll have a dual boot system meaning whenever you want to run OS X you must reboot and select OS X likewise with Windows. Free
2) Parallels - http://www.parallels.com/ - This is an AWESOME piece of software. You can use Windows and Mac OS X at the same time without rebooting. Windows Applications act as native OS X applications and you get full hardware support including graphics. $80
3) VMWare Fusion - http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/ - Very similar to Parallels. $60.
I would research both Parallels and Fusion if I were you.

Looks like all three only work for intel-based macs, which mine is not
And now with my PC broke, looks like my flight simming days are numbered
So I guess either I find a solution, or it's leave of abscence for a couple of years until I am out of college and get a new PC for me
Anybody know how to help a dejected Sim Pilot out there?

Microsoft Virtual PC
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/virtualpc/virtualpc.aspx?pid=virtualpc
I haven't tried this version personally ... but i have used it in the past (albeit not with MSFS) ... designed for NON-Intel Macs.
Good luck.
