I just purchased the LDS 767 for FSX. It takes FOREVER to climb to a simple alt of FL350 with almost no fuel. I have not had this problem with FS9. Any suggestions?

Well I did a TPA-CLT flight, FL350 was the cruise. When I finally got to it the T/D was only about 40nm away. I was originaly suppose to reach the T/C before TAY on the Tampa departure but it kept being bushed back. I cant find anywhere were the is drag or anything. I lose speed as I climb abover FL250 too, but gain it back once I reach cruise alt. The engine meters are all the way to the "climb" line. Sorry, not very good with the names

What was your gross weight at take-off? ....were you using VNAV, FLCH, or VS to control your climb?

When you use VNAV the aircraft will climb, within its ability of course, according to how you setup your FMC.
Go to http://www.avsim.com/ and search for these two file names: lds1tut.zip and lds3tut.zip
These are tutorials developed by Level-D's Beta test team. They take you through all aspects of flight, including FMC programming.
Good luck!

you must also remember that the cost index will influence your climb speed, and therefore the vertical speed. the lower the CI, the lower the climb speed, the higher the vertical speed. you can also set the speed manually, tho that takes away from the fun

I dont really go through every FMC setup procedures. I never use VNAV....... but for my normal 767 flights (less than 3 hours) I climb through 10,000 at 3000fpm... then 2500fpm until 15k... then around 1800fpm through fl 260 or fl 270... then start to level off to a 1000fpm climb until cruise.
