I have three headsets; two analog and one usb digital and I can't get any of them to work for voice out. I can hear just fine but no one can hear me. I'm running FSX on Vista and the newest version of FSInn. I can connect just fine and fly on Vatsim just can't communicate voice. It is a pain to try and type when you have your hands full flying. I must have something configured incorrectly and just can't figure out what. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. I have searched the forums but can't find anything that might help me.

Its a default setting in FSInn not your fault, it made me really mad and took my awhile to figure out.. you FS needs to be running to fix this...look at the bottom right of your screen (If in windowed mode) and you should see 6 colored dots. click them. they will bring up a menu. go to "voice" "VATSIM" and then "Volumes"... Turn the Mic volume all the way up, Also make sure that in the control panel (For you computer) that the Mic is un-muted and turned all they way up. And there you go, but just to make sure... while you are playing have the VVL open (its in the game, hit "Advance" on the FSInn control panel) I have noticed that I have to do this every time with mine but it only takes like 2 seconds so its no biggie for me...

Mike, thanks for the info. I'll implement this and give it a try. Is there a method for testing voice without jumping into a busy region and interrupting their operations?

I'm not sure. I just quickly say my callsign and voice sheck and the controller will quickly give you a confirmation if he can hear you

Easy enough... be bright, be brief and be gone. I'll check it out and let you know how it goes. I'm tired of typing and listening to everyone enjoy this added dimension of realism.

By the way... do all 6 of those dots need to be green? My top right is always red.

I believe it's assignable isn't it? I had noting assigned when I got into the config screen and assigned my yoke left hand button. Very nice to have that capability. I can't say enough good about this Saitek setup I now have.

I believe the default transmit hotkey for FSInn is the Left Shift button.

It's assignable, and you might have to also configure with fsuipc. I've got mine for right yoke button for vatsim and left for private co. channel.

Mike, just wanted to thank you again for your help. I had a great weekend flying and talking instead of typing frantically. My Logitech 350 USB headset works very well. KSLC was busy Sunday afternoon and Ryan Gardner gave pilots great ATC. I got to listen to and watch Joe Porter do his thing with a well executed approach into KSLC. Proud to belong to DVA!
