From what I recall, Kyle is correct. The page on the FMC will seems to always show the "default" cycle number. Regarding the navdata, the packaged file from NaviGraph will update the fixes, airports and VOR database, but it may not contain DP's and STAR's (can't remember for sure though). But, you can download the update file for those from the PlanePath site: http://planepath.com/html/feelthere.html
