For the most part, study the respective aircraft's operating manual which you can find in the Document Library.

The Exam Questions are mainly focused on two documents - the Flight Encyclopedia, 5th edition for general aviation related questions, and the Aircraft Operations Manual (in this case, the MD-88 manual). You may encounter questions not covered in these manuals but for the most part, this will help you study the proper stuff.

See the promotions manual found in the library. First, you need to log a minimum of 10 flights using ACARS, then pass the exam and check ride.
It's easy if you study what was mentioned by the above pilots.
Good Luck!
