My monitor somtimes randomly falls asleep, for no aparrent reason, my computer is never idle for more than a few seoconds, my power saving options are all off, sleep, hibernation settings all off. This problem is annoying because if I were to fly and my monitor is to fall asleep, all that prep and work goes down the drain beacuse I have to shut the whole computer off to solve the problem.

Is it an older monitor? Sounds like it could be an overheating issue.

That's really weird. Re-check your power settings, perhaps therein lies the issues, but im sure you did that already....hmm. Contact the company or exchange it as a last ditch effort.

I guess I'l call tech support. The thing is that I can spend hours on the Sims 2, Silent hunter III with no problems, it only occurs somtimes on FS9.

I would give your monitor some real coffee - if it keeps falling asleep - you could try crumbling up some NO-DOZ and dropping it through the vent lines!
