As you are aware, Delta Virtual's ACARS software is not presently compatible with X-Plane. I have committed to delivering a solution that will allow X-Plane users to log flight data and pass check rides. At present, I am looking at using XACARS, which can be found at www.xacars.net. I have set up a test URL for XACARS PIREP submission which is:
http://www.deltava.org/xacarspirep.ws
This will NOT save your flights, but give me a diagnostic dump of the data XACARS sends so I can build the infrastructure necessary to allow you to save flights. Your XACARS.ini file should look something like this (I think):
[Server]
Address = http://www.deltava.org/xacarspirep.ws
PIREP = http://www.deltava.org/xacarspirep.ws
FlightInfo = http://www.deltava.org/xacarspirep.ws
User = DVA1234 (or whatever your user ID is)
Password = (your password)
[ACARS]
POSReportTime = 2
EnableLiveACARS = 1
EnablePIREP = 1
AutoPIREP = 1
Please give that a whirl and let me know if it there is an error message. I repeat, this will NOT yet save your flights, but will give me the data I need to write the code that will do so. I am quite excited by the level of X-Plane users we have, and I believe that in 2008 X-Plane will take up a considerable amount of my time. Thanks for your patience and enthusiasm.
Cheers!
