I am having numerous problems with FS9 in a new Vista computer. I tried running it as administrator and XP in Compatible mode with no improvements. Does anyone know where there may be information about running FS9 with Vista.
Thanks for any suggestions

I'm nost having any trouble AT ALL with 2004 and VISTA. I've been running it on here since I bought this laptop back in July and didn't notice anything different with my transition from XP.

I had alot of issues with VISTA and FS9 at first. But this helped my issues with FS9. Shortly after getting FS9 to work I transitioned to FSX!! I copied this from another forum.
Go to help and support and punch "compatability wizard" into the search bar at the top ... then click on "Start the Program Compatability Wizard" then select "I want to choose from a list of programs" then scroll down to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and click on it to hilight it ... then click on "Do not apply compatability mode" (to use the XP SP2 compatablility mode is not necessary to fix the problem) then next then click on "Disable desktop composition" then next then click on "Run as administrator" then next and the wizard will boot it up for you to try and when you see that all is fine then close FS9 and click on "YES this fixed the problem and always run this program with these compatability settings (or some such) and you are off to the races!

Thanks for the info guys .... FS9 seems to be working ok so far. A complete reinstall and the Combatability Wizard program appears to have correct my problems. I appreciate your help.

Thats funny Andrew..
When comparing the two I have had way more problems just running XP and no problems with Vista.

lol!
I really have never had issues with XP - most of my problems are self-induced!

I have recently experimented with the Vist Compatability Wizard. My FS9 now seems to run normal when setup with a compatibility of MS Win98 on my machine.
