Just curious....What made you pick the DC-6 over a modern jet?? I prefer modern liners, but hey, its your opinion!!! Great job, congradulations, all that good stuff!
Happy landings!

I was just real interested in learning how to fly without all the instruments of a jet. My next stop is going to be the 727.
Try it out Nick, the CR is real fun. Note that i'm still in the CRJ. That's my baby and I'm not going anywhere. This is just an additional rating.

Nicholas,
When you have a chance check out the DC6.
When you learn to fly The DC-6 you will experience a new excitement .Its different than flying the heavies. You have more hands on control and a real sense of accomplishment.Lets face it you are flying an old proud Bird that enjoys your attention to detail and it will reward you with the joy of flying as it was over sixty (60) years ago.The sound of the engines in our DC-6 will become music to your ears. Its not a drive and fly aircraft it requires skill to master the DC-6.
But I do not encourage doing it just for an additional rating and not flying the aircraft again.

I'm sure it's an acquired taste, glad we have the staff and aircraft to support such variation. You'll get the bug one day as will I, they are a hand full. Congratulations Andrew.
