Stupid question. I had an in flight engine out situation and diverted from KSLC - KSAN to KLAS. I forwarded my pirep with this info in the remarks and it was approved. No prob so far, but I think I should have to continue the flight from KLAS to KSAN. Is this right or not? Thanks

I approved your flight Chris since Delta does fly from KSLC to KLAS and you gave an explanation in the comments section of the pirep. If there had been no explanation and no Delta flights between those two cities, I would have rejected it.

Okay, too late, lol. I know in the future, I just flew from KLAS to KSAN, but forgot to document why. Hopefully you will catch that flight as well. If not it will get rejected. Oh well either way, but thanks!

Any time something out of the usual happens, please feel free to put it in the PIREP comments. In the case of a divert, there is IIRC a NOTAM that allows us to approve the flight if a subsequent leg to the eventual destination is filed. We *want* to be able to approve flight reports, but we're not going to do so for the cases of people who file routes not in the schedule or unrated equipment types. The minute you add comments adding a "why" to the "what", the chances of approval go up significantly.
Cheers!

When was it filed/rejected and by whom? You need to email the person that rejected it with this question and you will get a quicker response. It normally goes on hold for 7 days if there is a problem with it and if you do not question the hold, that's when it gets rejected!
