Hey guys... I just had a question regarding CPU temps and case temps. Details are below. Am I in the good, okay, or bad range here... I know there are better pc folk out there than I am and can tell me faster here than I can look it up online.
Case: Aspire X-Navigator (1 120mm fan on side, 2 x 80 mm fans rear, 80mm fan on top, 80 mm fan in front)
HD: Maxtor Diamondmax 250gb 7200rpm SATA
MB: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
Video: ABIT ATI Radeon RX700Pro 256mb PCIe
RAM: 2 x 1gb Corsair XMS (PC3200)
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego @ 2.4 GHz
The temps usually run as follows:
CPU Temps
No load on system. Just turned on and maybe IE open to browse 30-32° C
Load on system: FS9 open, ActiveSky open, FSACARS open, IE7 open with four tabs, Excel open 42-44° C
Case Temps usually run about 5-7° C cooler.

I have overheating problems with my computer. Sometimes while I'm using BF2142, a siren starts going off. Yes, literally, a SIREN goes off. I have no idea where the sound is coming from, but I know from the hardware itself, not the speakers. It sounds like an ambulance siren! It apparently indicates that the computer is too hot. So I did what Brian did, I took off the cover and put a small fan in front of it and it seemed to help because I haven't heard the ambulance since. But does anybody know where this siren sound could be coming from and how to disable it?
