Just bought this graphics card and need to know....it is a PCI card and I have an AGP card in here now. Anything special, besides deleting the AGP drivers, I have to do for this new card? Also, do I have to uninstall the MultiMedia devices for the old card? Any help GREATLY appreciated!! Sam Henderson DVA1307

My two cents: You want to return it and get the AGP version (which is made, I didn't even know that the 9200 came in PCI), the PCI bus really can't handle the load of a modern graphics card, so you'll end up with a huge performance bottleneck and most likely will get less performance out of it than with a run of the mill AGP card.

Sam,
Lee is correct with his advice to get an AGP card. If your motherboard is fairly new, it should accomodate an 8X AGP card. The new AGP cards are campatible with earlier AGP versions.
When installing new, different or upgraded versions, it is important to first uninstall the old video drivers before loading in the new ones to avoid file conflicts and anomalies with files that are named the same but are of different series. There are freeware utilities that will do the uninstall job for you.
Also check out your version of DirectX. You should be running DirectX 9b.

Just my two cents, I have a 9100 Pro 64 meg PCI card that sure beats my onboard IGP. I do not have an AGP slot (thanks Michael Dell, another bright idea), so PCI was my only option. It does cause a bottle neck. On default aircraft I get decent frame rates. On add on aircraft, they sometimes bottom out.
When I eventually upgrade, there will be at least one AGP slot. Considering self-building, though it may be cheaper to go with a full system...lol

Keech,
If you want help with self-building, let me know. I built my own system with no problems (although I did forget to wire the power switch to the motherboard at first.)

DK: " After seeing the issues Schaum has with his self build "
Not everybody is Schaum :-)
In other words, give it a try and you will:
1. enjoy it
2. learn something new (even if you know everything, there is always something to learn)
3. save money

Ok, thanks for the ideas, guys. Now I have to see if Gateway will take it back!!! They got it here in less than 3 days.........it's a miracle! If it had been an AGP card it would have taken a month. Thanks again, Sam
