At DVA, we have numerous codeshares with numerous airlines (KLM, Air France, NWA, etc). However, I think this brings "un-realism" because in real life, a Delta 737 pilot would not be flying an Air France A321 at the same time, as is allowed here. At another GREAT VA, USAirways Virtual Airlines (usairwaysva.com), the thought about codeshares came up and was quickly "shot down" because of the point I just mentioned. Im saying this as MY OPINION ONLY, but I believe that Delta should be Delta-not anyone else (except NWA if it all goes through...). What are your opinions? I know this opens less planes, and less routes, but realistically, codeshares are for passenger convenience, and not for pilots, like us. Also, Delta is a HUGE airline which covers most of the routes that its codeshares do also already. And, for those who like European Ops, they could have gone with Air France Virtual. Lastly, if a NWA/DAL merger were to go through, we would feel no difference, as we "already fly NWA flights." Let's bring some excitment, and realism
I will sign off by saying this: I am not intending to be rude in any way...I am just offering my opinion and a suggestion to save realism.

Well I am a Noob here but I find the DVA way of doing things to be superb. The Flight Academy, ACARS, the amazing PDF downloads (just read the met stuff in one of them, worthy of paying for), and for me the crunch - the ability to work your way into different aircraft types.
I totally understand why some want uber realism and I respect that but would hate to see DVA be one of them. BTW I feel embarresed by my lack of hours but am concentrating all my sim time at moment to try and tame the beast that is the Maddog 2006. Can just about start the APU at the moment :-)
Actually that is one thing I would request - a forum dedicated to payware aircraft.

Nicholas, this isn't going to happen. When I'll learn to fly the Airbus, I'll also want to keep flying MAINLY the Boeings. So, what you said will only restrict our enjoyment, and will not add realism at all.
These are the rules of our VA. I don't want to be rude at all, but if you agree with them, OK, if you not, then you are free to go with the "GREAT VA, USAirways Virtual"...it's all your choice.
