I have attempted to download the 757-200 and 757-300. When I activate FSX, I have a pop up window come up and states that the author has not been identified, and it will not allow FSX to open, and in fact FSX will continue to try and reopen to the point that I have to CTRL+ALT+Delete to close FSX. This is the only aircraft that I am having trouble downloading and I am only qualified as a first officer on the 757, but I am not able to fly this aircraft because of downloading problems. My equipment is Windows XP, and the unit is a Dell XPS 710 with the complete package for a 710, with every plus feature you can put into a XP 710. I can run FSX with every slider fully advanced, so I feel I have the computer to run anything I wish to, but for some reason cannot download the 757. If you have any suggestions I am ready for some help.

When those boxes pop up (and there will be a bunch) you have to click "Run" and "Yes" on the pop-up that follows. Basically you're telling FSX to allow the gauges to work. It's a pain, but necessary to get the aircraft working.

This shouldn't happen... Please do what Barry said. If it doesn't work, then please install the Fleet 767 and say if you have the same problem as the Fleet 757.

Barry you were right, I had to continue to run the boxes for about 5 minutes, it appears that you have to OK each item that is downloading into FX. I assume I will not have to do this each time I open FSX, and FSX should now allow the 757 to open each time from this point.
Thank you very much for your suggestions, I can now work on my 757 rating.

if you try the migration tool - you won't have to click for 5 minutes!

Mark, once you've gone through they "clicky-clicky" sequence you're all set. FSX now "knows" those gauges and will have no issue letting them work from now on. It's a pain, and has to be done for every aircraft you install into FSX, even payware and FSX specific installs.
Andrew, the migration tool is fine if you already have the FS9 version installed. For those like me who have either removed the vast majority of FS9 add-on aircraft or who never installed them to begin with it's not very useful at all.

You are absolutely correct...I guess I assumed that most folks keep FS9 on until they realize or get fed up with FSX! lol
