Does anyone know where PSS hid the .ini or configation text file for the 757? The N2 value that the engine lights off, spools up at, is way to high the tick mark is at 18 percent and it appears that the value is 24, attempted to do two starts last night and it never reached this so the engine never started even with the fuel control switchs in RUN, fuel pumps on, etc.

The N2 18% magenta line/mark is the "minimum fuel on selection point during starter cranking" not the point where the engines are fully running, at N2 18% you move the fuel selector to "run" and wait until the engine starts.
You had enough air pressure for start the engines ? (APU or external air)
Engine Start Procedure
- Announce start sequence. Normal start sequence is right then left.
- Call "START ____ENGINE."
- Position _____START selector to GROUND
- Position __FUEL CONTROL switch to RUN when:
N2 reaches 20%, or ( if 20% N2 is not achievable ) at maximum motoring and a minimum of 15% N2

Yep, and the packs are off, isolation valve open, I see them light off at 24 percent without FPax running, after FSPax is running or has run N2 will go to like 23.9 percent and stay there and I get a no start on either engine, attempted a reinstall to, not sure whats going on because it hasn't happened before with or without FSPax running.

I have had the same problem. I thought it was weird but never heard anything about it so i thought it was a boeing thing
Edit: My engines DO start when reaching 24% N2

I went though the normal start up sequence
1. Packs Off
2. Isolation Valves open with APU running
3. Right Ignition set to GND
4. Fuel to Run at 18% N2
5. Engine starts at 24% N2

Hmm, thats what I'm doing execpt using external air instead of APU bleed, but did try using the APU bleed and it resulted in the same, maybe I'm not waiting long enough, how long did it take to hit 24? I never have seen it take longer then like 1 to 2 mins which the last two start attempts it did.

K, I'll be interested to hear what you find
EDIT: This time I waited the 1 min and it lit off at 24, I guess I was impatient or FS was being FS

I hate to bring up an old thread for my first post, but I found some interesting information based on identical problems encountered last night and want to share with other fellow PSS/Just Flight 757 flyers.
The problem I encountered was OAT related. Apparently the PSS/JF 757 will not light off the engines during routine start up procedures if the OAT is below -5 degrees C. I spent all night trying to figure out why I could not get the bird fired up. It turns out, the OAT was -8. This morning I found a thread at Avsim that confirmed this matter. I loaded some saved weather in ASV6.5 where the OAT was 13 deg C and she fired right up!
So, if the OAT is below -5, she just won't start.
Happy flying,
Glenn
