Goose blah blah. That's what I have been saying to myself for the past week to try and stay calm. However after searching the ENTIRE Internet I have decided to come here and ask for help.
I have recently DOWNGRADED from FSX to FS2004. I know, that sounds kinda strange. But, since I have enrolled in the Flight Academy I came to the conclusion that I would need to get used to the EMB-120, using FS2004, since the school from what I've been told does not support FSX at this time. Now, after installing FS2004 and crying myself to sleep at the loss of the life like graphics I had seeing in FSX, I went out and purchased $100 in add-ons to make the sky, runways and ground/water to look a little more realistic.
Here is my problem. FSX used FSInn, which was an AWESOME program, easy to use and I had absolutley NO problems with. Now, I am stuck with this dumbed down version of online ATC communications, Squawkbox 3. I hate having to use it after ejoying the ease and streamlining of FSInn, however, I have no choice.
Now that the prelude is done, here is the issue. I have installed SB3 and up to loggin in have no problems. I am running with a static IP with no firewalls. However, once I fire up SQ3 and log in, I get about (1) one minute of online time then am rudely disconnected. This has been a constant issue sonce I digressed into the realm of FS2004. Here are my current specs and I really pray that someone here might have had an issue with "auto-disconnects" and might have figured out a fix. Thanks for all of your time.
Intel 3.0
2 Gigs DDR Ram
GeForce 7800 GS OC w/ 256
SBLive
Win XP
p.s. Yes, I have updated drivers for Video/Audio. All Windows SP's are up to date as well.
p.s.s. And remember, I have no problems using VatSim/Acars with FSX = FSInn, just this SB3.

If SB3 is your problem then use FSInn with FS2004

Did not know I could use FSInn with FS2004. Let me try that. Thanks for the response Charly.

Ok, thank you for that. I am now back with my beloved FSInn. Guess I should read next time. Only other issue I am having is with our Fleet Installed EMB-120 in that the RWYINFO button does'nt work. I click and nothing, almost like the panel does not want to load. Any ideas?

Yeah, I have occassional auto-disconnects for no reason with SB3, although those are usually only with heavy server loads.
