As has already been announced, the all-new Embraer EMB-120ER has been released and is available for immediate download from the fleet library. This FS2004 and FSX compatible aircraft, while looking like the old EMB-120 it replaces, has been fully overhauled. Much work went into making sure it performs like its real world inspiration. All aspects of operation, performance and handling have been looked at and now emulate the real thing. Many thanks to all who helped make this possible, especially Ron Ward, Adam Gaweda, George Lewis, Scott Clarke, Jim Pray, Luke Kolin and of course and the gang over at the Delta Virtual Flight Academy. If I missed someone, I apologize now. The new EMB-120ER will be the primary trainer when the Flight Academy reopens in the very near future.
There is a ‘however’ though. Because of certain constraints, we decided to release the aircraft before the new Aircraft Operation Manual was fully ready for release. The manual written in the new DVA standard AOM format address many aspects of the aircraft and is a major change from what has been seen before. All the content, much of it extracted from real world documents, is in place with only the final coordination through senior staff channels remaining. These reviews are being fast tracked and the manual should be available in the next few days.
For those preparing for the EMB-120 Captains test, once the new manual is released, all test questions will be updated to the new material. If you use to old manual on the new test, you will have major problems.
This new airplane is a hotrod that loves to fly. She’s fast, forgiving, has long legs and loves it in the air. Give it a try.

We are aware of two bugs in the FSX version panel.
First, any switch movement on the overhead panel will cause the throttle to go to full power. To correct this, simply move your throttle control slightly and return it to the original position.
Second, the right fuel flow gauge will flicker between the correct reading and one about 60 PPH higher. This is a nuisance only.
Both problems are being work and an update will be released once fixes is made. There is no timetable for this action.
These bugs were allowed to go out because we believed the need for an FSX aircraft and the Flight Academy reopening is dependent upon the availability of hte EMB-120ER.

The new EMB-120ER AOM has been published and effective immediately, the EMB-120 Captain's exam has been modified to reflect the new manual.
Please refer to the new EMB-120ER AOM for the EMB-120 Captain's exam, as the questions and answers reflect this manual now.

The AOM is very complete - it has charts, correct fuel planning information, cockpit checkout, tutorials on flying the airplane, etc. I think you'll like it.
The entire fleet will eventually be updated to this standard.
