I am thinking of having both FSX and FS9 installed on the same computer. Has anyone here have any experience with this? Any comments would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Robert

I'm going to have to go against the flow.
Very soon after installing FSX, my copy of FS9 has completely shut down and stopped working entirely. As soon as I try to switch planes or even hit "Fly Now," I get a rather infuriating "FS9 has encountered an error and must now close" message. I've tried a reinstall, but to no avail. I'll be posting a thread on it very shortly.

I already have FSX installed and will be installing FS9 on a separate hard drive partition. That should eliminate any issues that would creep up. I just remember reading something back when the demo for FSX came out that you couldn't have them both installed.

Thats the way to do it Robert, If you have the space, Add a Hard drive for each instance of FS. You find a minor performance boost when running FS on ts own Hard drive. I run two different OS's one 32 bit and one 64 bit. each has there own Hard drive as well as each version of FS. No problems here ....
