What's up guys?
As a graduation present, my parents have promised to get me a laptop (under $2k). I found a toshiba for $2k with these specs...
Processor: Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo mobile; 2.1Ghz
RAM: 2GB (4GB expandable)
Hard Drive: 320GB; serial ATA (5400rpm)
Graphics card: NVidia SLI Dual Geforce 8600MGT (767MB graphic memory)
I'd like to buy FSX when I get the computer. How do you guy's think fsx will run on this system?
Thanks!
-Eddie

After a few experiments with multiple computers, I found the real major factor was the graphics software and driver. The newer the better. FSX runs strong on graphics and a recent Direct X (version 9 or 10.)

2GB should be plenty for FSX; I'd see if you can get a faster HD, although with a laptop you may be out of luck.
Cheers!

I agree with Luke. 2 GB should be plenty. FSX is however very processor hungry. So go with at least the 2.1 ghz processor, and if possible more.
