i dont use zone alarm - but I have used Mozilla for a loooong time and never had issues downloading. did you just switch to Mozilla - and if so - do you have your downloads directing to where you want them to go?

I've actually stopped using ZA because of issues with some games that they have been very slow to address. The Windows firewall was much improved with XP SP2 and serves just fine in conjunction with my router's hardware firewall, AVG and Spybot.

I just made the switch to Mozilla today. But I don't think its causing the problem, but maybe. I usally send my downloads to a folder on my desktop before dealing with them.

Alex, been using the free version of ZA for a long time now and never have had problems with downloading. Some movies however, require IE to download.

Thats why I'm still keeping IE. I'm gonna try to reinstall ZA tonight and see how it goes.

There is no reason to remove IE, but you should be using firefox as your primary browser. It is more safe, stable, many many more features, I could go on and on.
When you run into a situation you feel is firefox/IE related - go ahead and try out IE.

I've been using IE up to now. The only thing I like about it is that IE tabbed browsing is easier to use. Also, I reinstalled ZA and everything is good now.
